PCT Hangtag Project
Aug 04, 2023
PCT hangtags are distributed to long-distance hikers and horseback riders as a keepsake and a way to encourage people to be personally engaged in protecting the trail and fragile places the trail passes through.
Hangtags are available in-person at a small number of locations. To get one, you’ll be asked to show your PCT Long-distance Permit and talk with a public lands steward about how you can travel lightly on the land. They are one per-person, are not mailed, and there’s a limited supply. We love that they are popular and understand that we’re not reaching everyone who wants one.
Hangtags are available from:
In the meantime, you can learn more about Leave No Trace and safety on the PCT right on our website.
